Happy New Year!

Google's home page has cute comical birds chirping in the new year. It gave me the idea to finally post pictures from our visit to Parrot Mountain.

It's one of the most beautiful places I've seen. Gorgeous birds living amidst beautiful landscaping.

It's a sanctuary for parrots and other birds who have found themselves without a home. They also raise some birds for sale, but most are rescue.

This was an area where the birds could be fed, petted and handled. They would walk up on your arm and some would talk.

I think God must have had the most fun when He created birds. The colors are spectacular. They have funny personalities too.

This was an enclosed area where you could go in with tiny container of nectar and the little birds would absolutely smother you to get to it. They lined up on our arms, shoulders, and head. It was great fun! I think they're called aussies.

When you want them to get off, you just gently shake your arm and they fly back to the trees.

Awww...must be true love.
