Back to the tea tables! This one had an Asian flair. Traditional elegance served by our pastor's wife. The big bowl of scones was made by The Pink House (more on that later). Paris was a favorite theme this year. This hostess thoughtfully gave an orchid to each guest. I'm not sure if this is a British theme or American patriotic...A miniature tea party for a centerpiece - adorable! My friend, Lisa always has a warm, homey theme. Her mother makes napkins with crocheted edging, tea cosies, table runners, etc. Just a few more pictures of the lovely tea tables...
People are so creative. There's something about a beautifully set table that makes guests feel special. It causes us to slow down for an hour, take our time and enjoy beauty, savor the meal, the tea and of course, the friendships. This hostess had pictures of the guests grandmothers printed on the linen napkins in honor of the "Mother-Daughter Tea". In the next picture, lower right, there is a bowl of something creamy pink. It's a yogurt fruit topping from the Pink House. We've asked, but Margo won't give the secret recipe. We know it has yogurt and we think cream cheese is involved... anyway, it's yummy! If you're ever near Claremore, OK, you must make it a point to visit the Pink House. The food is delicious and the portions much more generous than most tea houses. Check out their pretty website here. And be sure to save room for the baked fudge!Time for morning tea now. 'Til next time!
